The Department of Biology offers a minor in Medical Laboratory Sciences. Upon the completion of the minor, students should be able to work in medical laboratories and clinics. The minor covers the fields of microbiology, parasitology, hematology, serology, clinical chemistry, body fluids and blood banking. Students have to complete 26 credit hours listed in the table below. The minor includes also a minimum of 120 hours of training in the laboratories of certified medical centers.
