Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the program students will be able to:

1.  Apply knowledge of science and mathematics appropriate to information technology including discrete mathematics, basic physics and digital circuit theory.

2.  Apply methods of analysis and design to identify a problem and formulate the technical requirements necessary to solve the problem.

3.  Design, implement and test a solution to an information system related problem through the application of information technology.

4.  Demonstrate a practical ability to apply modern techniques used in programming and development of the infrastructure needed to support information systems.

5.  Demonstrate an awareness of emerging technologies and the ability to acquire new knowledge and skills after completing formal supervised education.

6.  Demonstrate an understanding of how technology integrates with other disciplines, including but not limited to science, management, communications and marketing.

7.  Use written and oral communication persuasively for both a technical and non-technical content.

8.  Work effectively in a team environment.
