Program Learning Outcomes

At the end of the program, students are expected to be able to demonstrate:

Knowledge and Understanding

  1. awareness of Palestinian education system, its philosophy and policies, laws, regulations and curriculum
  2. knowledge of the principles of scientific research and inquires
  3. awareness of the dynamics of changes and development in teaching profession
  4. determine  the different developmental characteristics , attributes of growth of  upper basic stage students  which related to educational theories
  5. comprehensive creative, intellectual reasoning and critical thinking skills
  6. advanced  knowledge of appropriate new teaching /learning and assessment strategies.
  7. advanced  knowledge of appropriate new teaching/learning technologies
  8. awareness of leadership and communication skills and  classroom management
  9. identify the procedures that serve as  bases of the learner's –centered approach in learning teaching process.
  10. understanding of  the school life context and its effect on teaching learning  process and school function
  11. knowledge of  different counseling  and guidance strategies and their application in the educational context
  12. deep awareness of  human rights, social justice, equality/equity and cultural diversity

Intellectual and practical skills

At the end of the program, students are expected to be able to:

  1. analyze and enrich the textbooks content according to different standards related  to educational theories.
  2. employ different and appropriate teaching learning strategies, teaching learning technologies and educational aids, assessment and classroom management techniques.
  3. integrate real life resources in his/her teaching/learning settings and link theories with real life situation
  4. design his/her own view of  teaching with high level standard that matches the quality assurance criteria
  5. provide a supportive environmental aspects that promote  active learning  & Support  pupil’s independence
  6. employ the skills of creative , critical & reflective thinking in the planning, implementation, evaluation and follow-up processes
  7. employ modern techniques based  on counseling & guidance strategies to interpret and help students to solve their socio-psych and educational problems
  8. integrate his specialty subject with different subjects & fields through diverse contexts
  9. sense and cope with situations where human rights violation takes place
  10. link theories in real life situations
  11. Use technology as a means  of affective learning and teaching resource
  12. conduct qualitative and quantitative research with respect to scientific criteria and procedures
  13. implement different suitable management and leadership skills 

Transferable skills and attitudes

At the end of the program, students are expected to be able to:

  1. reflect on his/her own practices as a means of professional development
  2. communicate clearly &  work effectively with others
  3. engage in short and long term planning and development
  4. adapt to high-order-thinking skills.
  5. be committed to self-learning and development.
  6. provide equal learning opportunities for all students and  help them to enhance their self-confidence
  7. manage his/her time properly.
  8. adjust to new circumstances and initiate  changes when needed.
  9. foster spirit of openness to culture diversity.
  10. show positive attitudes towards their students as learners & as humans.
  11. pursue the requirements of the teaching ethics and principles of the teaching profession
  12. behave in accordance with values of democracy, justice  and equality principles in his/her profession
  13. assimilate the standards, principles and ethics of the profession teaching.
