Program Learning Outcomes

  • Knowledge and understanding:

 Students will be able to develop knowledge and understanding of:

  1. Correct use of Mathematical language reasoning and logical thinking and Mathematical thinking.
  2. Mathematical proofs.
  3. Methods of Numerical computations.
  4. Application of Math in other fields.
  5. Basic Knowledge of probability and statistic and data analysis.
  • Skills:

Students will have the opportunity to develop the following skills during the course:

  1. To be able to present Mathematical arguments with accuracy in an adequate short time.
  2. To be able to construct logical proofs and algorithms.
  3. To be able to use soft wares such as SPSS, Mathlab, Mathematica,…etc.
  4. To be able to use and select the appropriate statistical methods.
  5. To be able to transfer the knowledge to other courses and to real life problems.
  • Attitudes:

Students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate the value of logical thinking with respect to Mathematical problems.
  2. To appreciate the contributions of Mathematics to other fields.
  3. To appropriate the use of mathematical and statistical software.
  4. To be able to work independently and within a team with confidence.
  5. To be able to transfer the knowledge and skills to other courses and to real life problems.
