ACADEMIC REGULATIONS

Attendance:

Bethlehem University expects its students to attend classes on a regular basis. The maximum number of absences which a student can have and still continue in the course is the number of times that a class meets in a two week period. For examples, if a three-credit hour class meets three times each week the maximum number of absences is six. If class meets twice a week, maximum number are four. This means that the student can be absent for a maximum of 100 minutes for every credit hours.

.

Absent Notices

Student is given the first notice if the number of absences in a given course is equal to the number of meetings of the course in one week. The second and final notice is given when the number of absences in a given course reaches the maximum permissible limit which is twice the number of meetings of the course in one week.

Continuing absence, which results in an excess of the allowable number, causes the student to obtain a "WF" grade.
